What is 3D Printed Jewelry?

Did you ever imagine your favorite accessory could come from a printer?  Our jewelry is crafted using PLA (Polylactic Acid)—a standout material in the world of 3D printing. PLA isn’t just practical; it’s packed with benefits that make it ideal for wearable art.  It is eco-friendly & sustainable.  PLA is made from renewable resources like corn starch and sugarcane. That means it’s biodegradable and far gentler on the planet than traditional plastics or metals. If you care about sustainability, PLA is a win.  It is lightweight and comfortable.  No one wants earrings that tug or rings that feel bulky.  PLA is super lightweight, making it perfect for bold designs that are still comfy enough to wear all day.  PLA comes in a wide range of colors and finishes—from sleek matte black to bright, playful tones. It’s easy to dye, paint, or finish.  While PLA isn’t as hard as metal, it’s strong enough for everyday use. With proper care, your pieces will stay beautiful and intact for years to come.

Here's a little about how the printing process works.  It all starts with a process called additive manufacturing—which is just a fancy way of saying “building something layer by layer.”  Every piece starts as a digital 3D model, created using design software.  The 3D printer heats up the PLA filament—a spool of eco-friendly plastic—and begins printing the object layer by layer. It’s kind of like icing a cake, but way more precise. The printer follows the sliced design instructions to build the jewelry from the bottom up.  After the design is printed, we add stainless steel or sterling silver findings to make the final product.
